Updated paper on the E-VRP-NL

A new version of Alejandro Montoya’s et al. paper on the electric vehicle routing problem with nonlinear charging function is available here.

A. Montoya’s Ph.D. defense

e-VRO’s Alejandro Montoya is defending his Ph.D. thesis titled “Electric vehicle routing problems: models and solution approaches”on December 9, 2016. The jury is composed by Professors Daniele Vigo (Univ. Bologne) and Dominique Feillet (Mines Saint-Etienne) who reviewed the manuscript and will evaluate the oral presentation; Prof. Emannuel Néron (Polytech Tours) and Dr. Fabien Leuhédé (Mines Nantes) who will evaluate the oral presentation; and e-VRO members Pr. Christelle Guéret (Univ. Angers), Dr. Jorge E. Mendoza (Polytech Tours), and Dr. Juan G. Villegas (Univ. Antioquia) who co-advied Alejandro during the last 3 years. The defense will take place at 10:00 am in room “Amphi E” at ISTIA (62, avenue Notre-Dame du Lac 49000 Angers, France). We wish Alejandro the best of lucks.

e-VRO seminar @ CIRRELT

e-VRO’s Jorge E. Mendoza will give an invited seminar titled “electric vehicle routing problems with non-linear charging functions” at CIRRELT in Montreal on November 9, 2016. The seminar is jointly organised by the Chair in Logistics and Transportation and the Canada Research Chair in Distribution Management. You can find here the abstract and full details on the location and time. If you happen to be in Montreal on the day, do not miss it!

SI @ EURO Journal on Transportation and Logistics

e-VRO’s Christelle Guéret and Jorge E. Mendoza are host editing a special issue (SI) for the EURO Journal on Transportation and Logistics. The SI focuses on heuristics  for vehicle routing and logistics optimization. Particular attention will be given to papers dealing with electric VRPs. You can find the call for papers here. The deadline is October 15, 2016.
